Service Description

i) Helps prevent hepatitis A, a contagious liver infection spread through contaminated food, water or close contact with an infected person. ii) Hepatitis A can cause fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain and jaundice, with illness sometimes lasting several months. iii) Suitable for adults who are not already protected, especially travellers to affected areas and people with chronic liver disease, following doctor assessment. iv) For the usual inactivated hepatitis A vaccine, 2 doses are given at least 6 months apart. Completing both doses provides long-term protection. Your doctor will confirm the schedule for the vaccine used.
